Project description

Sirena Market Nagua is a modern supermarket operated by Grupo Ramos (La Sirena) in the city of Nagua, María Trinidad Sánchez Province. The commercial building was designed for operational functionality, structural efficiency, and durability, and is adapted to the climate and urban conditions of the northeastern Dominican Republic.

Typology and construction system

The building was developed for commercial use as a supermarket and incorporates the following features:

  • A long-span steel structure that creates large open spaces with fewer intermediate columns
  • Reinforced concrete in primary elements, including foundations, perimeter columns, and slabs
  • A lightweight, thermally insulated standing-seam roof

This construction system supports faster execution, greater interior flexibility, and optimized costs.
